I’m Mohamed. I study mechanical engineering at LSU, with a minor in robotics. I spend a lot of my free time making robots and 3D printing things.

Vision-guided robot arm
It uses a camera to find an object by color, then moves the arm to pick it up. Getting the camera and arm to agree on where things were took some work.

A 3D printed fidget toy with a spring mechanism and an NFC tag inside. I wanted it to do a little more than just click.
Mechanical design

I’m interested in how mechanisms move and how robots interact with their surroundings. My projects include camera-guided robot arms, compliant joints, and custom printed parts.
I use Fusion 360 to design parts, then print and test them. I’ve also worked with 3D scanning and dimensional measurements to compare printed parts with their CAD models.
